A barefoot hotel on an island with no cars, where the sand road outside your door reaches the water in about ninety seconds. Two dozen rooms, hammocks that actually get used, and a kitchen far better than an island this small has any right to have. You come for the quiet and stay because nobody here is trying to impress you.

On the Lagoon of Seven Colors, where the water shifts from near-white to deep indigo depending on where you are standing and what time of day it is. Casitas open to the jungle, the dock is the center of the day, and there is no reason to leave except to take a boat out at first light before the wind comes up.
