SOUTH AMERICA
Glaciers, Deserts, and Everything Between.
Peru, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and the Galápagos, designed around the altitude, the seasons and the distances between them.
South America is the continent people put off, usually because it feels like too much to plan. It doesn’t have to be. The secret is choosing well: Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, Patagonia in the southern summer, the clear skies of the Atacama, the Galápagos on the right ship. Pick two or three, not six, and give each one room. We handle the internal flights, the altitude and the timing, so what you remember is the view and not the connections.
WHY TRAVEL SOUTH AMERICA WITH TDC
A Continent, Not a Country.
Most South America trips go wrong in the routing: too many internal flights, a high-altitude city on day one, Patagonia booked in the wrong month. The highlights are thousands of miles apart, and the itinerary has to respect that.
We work with specialist ground partners in each country, sequence the trip so altitude and air time work in your favor, and tell you plainly what fits in the days you have.

SOUTH AMERICA EXPERIENCES
What We Design Between the Landmarks
EXPEDITION & WILDLIFE
The Galápagos, Properly
Small expedition ships or land-based island hopping in the Galápagos, jaguars in Brazil’s Pantanal, and the Amazon from a river lodge.
WINE COUNTRY
Mendoza to the Colchagua Valley
Malbec beneath the Andes in Mendoza, Carménère in Chile’s Colchagua and Casablanca valleys, and lunches that run long for good reason.
HIGH ANDES & DESERT
Altitude, Done Right
The Sacred Valley, the Atacama and Bolivia’s Uyuni salt flat, planned with the acclimatization days most itineraries skip.
SIGNATURE JOURNEYS
Three Routes Worth Starting With.
Peru: Andes to Machu Picchu
Lima · Sacred Valley · Machu Picchu
Two nights in Lima for the food, then the Sacred Valley before Cusco so the altitude eases in gently. Machu Picchu by train, with a guide who times your entry, and an optional extension to the Amazon or Lake Titicaca. Ten to twelve days, done well.
Patagonia, Both Sides
Torres del Paine · El Calafate · El Chaltén
Chilean and Argentine Patagonia in one trip: the granite towers of Torres del Paine, the Perito Moreno Glacier, and the trails around El Chaltén, with Buenos Aires or Santiago at either end. Best from November to March.
Chile, End to End
Atacama · Wine Valleys · Easter Island
Salt flats and some of the clearest night skies on earth in the Atacama, a few slow days among the vineyards outside Santiago, and Easter Island’s moai at the far end of a five-hour flight across the Pacific.

Colombia · Cartagena’s old city, the coffee region, and Medellín’s food and design scene.
Bolivia · The Uyuni salt flat, especially in the wet season when it turns to mirror, and La Paz above the clouds.
Uruguay · José Ignacio in the southern summer, Montevideo, and the vineyards of Garzón.
